specialty classes.
Fusion: Fusion class is a fun and exciting mix of different performance sports. Each week we concentrate on a different area. The topics covered include, Obedience, Rally, Agility, and the Canine Good Neighbour. This is a great upbeat class for those of you who want to continue doing something fun with your dog. Dogs must have completed an intermediate level of obedience, and have good off leash control. This class is a seasonal class and is taught outdoors.
Class runs from April - September.
Rally: Rally Obedience is a fun, flowing sport where you and your dog work together through a course of signs, skills, and small obstacles—building teamwork, focus, and confidence along the way.
Rally combines elements of traditional obedience with a moving course made up of different stations. At each station, you and your dog perform a specific exercise such as heeling patterns, sits, downs, turns, and occasionally small jumps. Teams move through the course together, creating a fun and engaging way to practice obedience skills while strengthening the communication and relationship between dog and handler.
Rally is often described as an obedience obstacle course, and it’s a fantastic way to continue training after basic classes while keeping things interesting and challenging for both you and your dog.
Class Format
Rally Obedience is offered as an ongoing class rather than a fixed start-and-end course. Because the sport includes many different exercises, signs, and handling skills, classes continue to build and evolve from week to week instead of restarting every few weeks.
Dogs and handlers progress at their own pace while continuing to refine their skills and learn new course elements. Many of our Rally teams stay in class long-term as new exercises and courses are introduced and their skills continue to grow.
Registration & Attendance
Classes run in 6-week training blocks at a cost of $150 + GST, which reserves your spot in the class.
Because Rally is structured as a continuing program and class size is limited, registration holds your place in the class rather than paying for individual drop-in lessons.
For this reason, make-up classes are not offered for missed sessions. Students occasionally miss a class due to travel or other commitments, but maintaining your registration ensures you and your dog can continue training with the group in the next class.
Who Rally Is Great For
Rally is a great fit for:
• Dogs and handlers who enjoy continuing to train and learn together
• Teams looking for a fun challenge after completing basic obedience
• Owners who want to improve focus, engagement, and leash skills
• Dogs that enjoy having a job to do and working with their handler
You do not need competition goals to enjoy Rally. Many students participate simply because it’s a fun and rewarding activity to do with their dog.
Dogs also do not need to be perfect to join—Rally is a great place to continue building skills and confidence.
Interested in Competing?
For those who are interested, Rally can also be a competitive dog sport with organized trials where teams complete courses and earn titles.
While competition is completely optional, the skills learned in class help prepare teams who may eventually want to explore that path.
Our Rally Community
One of the things people love most about Rally is the supportive training environment. Many of our teams continue training together long-term, building their skills while enjoying the process with their dogs.
As dogs and handlers progress, new courses, signs, and challenges are introduced to keep training engaging and rewarding for everyone involved.
Whether your goal is simply to have fun training with your dog or to eventually try a Rally trial, the class is designed to support teams at every stage.
Prerequisites
Dogs must have completed Beginner and Intermediate training (or an equivalent level) before joining Rally.
Dogs should be comfortable working around other dogs and handlers in a group training environment.

CGN (Canine Good Neighbour): This CGN class will prepare you to take the Canine Good Neighbour Test. The purpose of the CGN test is to ensure that your dog is accepted as a valued member of society. CGN training is fun, rewarding and useful, as it shows your dog can be relied upon to present good manners at home, in public places, and in the presence of other dogs. The CGN test assesses the handler and dogs relationship together with the handlers ability to control the dog. Dogs are evaluated on their ability to demonstrate good manners in everyday situations. This class is taught by a accredited CGN evaluator, and is open to all dogs who have completed a basic level of obedience.
